The questions our partner couriers ask most
What does it take to work as an independent courier?
You need a valid driving licence — a category B licence for deliveries by car — a self-employed status in good standing, and a good working knowledge of the city so you can plan your runs efficiently. Shippr then gives you access to missions that match what you drive.
Can I take night deliveries?
Yes. Shippr runs night delivery missions, which suit independent couriers with a category B licence particularly well. They are often urgent, or scheduled outside normal hours — a good source of extra work if you are flexible.
Do you offer flexible work for couriers?
Shippr offers flexible missions for independent couriers, ideal alongside a main activity. They can be done by day or by night, across different sectors depending on demand, by car as well as by bike.
Where can I work with Shippr?
Our service covers Paris and the whole of Île-de-France, as well as Brussels and its 19 communes.
When and how am I paid?
Every month, Shippr invoices the customers who use the service. Once they have been invoiced, you create your own invoice straight in the app and send it to us.
The transfer then reaches the bank account listed in your Stripe profile within 15 days.
Why do I have to set up a Stripe account?
We use Stripe to automate and secure your payments. Creating your Stripe account in the Shippr app is what makes working with us possible: without it, we cannot pay you what your deliveries earn. You then get a dashboard with your transactions, your invoices and your next payouts.
Can I have several accounts for my company?
Every partner using the platform needs an account of their own. Managers can decide who works with them and invoice their couriers' work under the same VAT number, but everyone who makes a delivery needs their own account — it is what keeps goods and timings traceable.
How do I follow the progress of my application?
If you are already in the sign-up process, check your email: every step of your application is confirmed there. Have a look in your spam folder too if nothing has arrived.
